Frequently asked questions

Specifying, fabricating and living with stone surfaces — the questions we are asked most often.

Choosing a surface

Can I see the actual slab before committing?

Yes, and we recommend it. Every slab can be viewed full size at our gallery at 62 Ubi Road 1. Veining, undertone and finish read very differently in person than in a photograph, and natural stone is a one-off material — the slab you approve is the slab that gets fabricated.

What is the difference between natural stone and sintered stone?

Natural stone is quarried, so each slab is unique in veining and character, and most types need periodic sealing. Sintered stone is engineered under extreme pressure and heat, giving near-zero porosity, high heat tolerance, UV stability and consistent patterning across slabs. Neither is better outright — it depends on where the surface is going.

Which material should I use for a kitchen countertop?

For heavy daily cooking, sintered stone is the lower-maintenance choice: it resists hot cookware, acids and staining without sealing. Quartzite is the hardest natural option. Softer marbles are chosen when the look matters most and a developing patina is acceptable.

Do you supply material for outdoor use?

Yes. Sintered stone is the usual specification outdoors because it contains no organic resins, so it does not yellow or fade under direct sun, and it handles tropical rain and salt air. Granite also performs well outdoors.

Quotations and lead times

How do I get a quotation?

Send us your drawings, kitchen layout or estimated dimensions through the enquiry form on any product page, by WhatsApp, or by email. Our consultants will come back with an itemised quotation, normally within one working day.

How long does fabrication and installation take?

Standard fabrication and on-site installation typically takes 10 to 14 working days after final on-site measurement and templating sign-off. Bookmatched feature walls and expedited schedules should be discussed with the team in advance.

Do you handle installation, or supply only?

We do both. Most clients take templating, fabrication, edge profiling and installation as one package so that responsibility for the finished surface sits in one place. Supply-only is available if you already have a fabricator.

Do you deliver across Singapore?

Yes, we deliver and install island-wide. Access constraints — lift dimensions, staircase turns, loading bay restrictions — are worth flagging early, as they can affect how a large slab is cut and transported.

Fabrication and care

What edge profiles can you fabricate?

Mitred apron edges for a thick monolithic look, plus pencil round, bevelled and bullnose profiles. We also cut flush undermount sink cutouts, cooktop cutouts and drainage grooves.

How do I clean and maintain my surface?

Wipe down with a soft microfibre cloth, warm water and a neutral pH cleaner. Avoid abrasive scouring pads, bleach and any product containing hydrofluoric acid. Porous natural stones benefit from periodic resealing; sintered stone does not need sealing at all.

Are your surfaces heat and stain resistant?

Sintered stone tolerates direct heat from cookware and resists staining from coffee, wine, citrus and cooking oils. Natural stone is more variable: granite and quartzite are highly resistant, while marble can etch on contact with acids. We will tell you plainly which category a slab falls into.

Is there a warranty?

Selected sintered stone ranges carry a manufacturer limited warranty of up to 25 years against defects, subject to the manufacturer terms and correct installation and care. Warranty coverage varies by brand and range, so confirm the specifics for your chosen material with your consultant.

Still have a question?

If your project has a constraint we have not covered here, talk to a consultant. Send drawings or dimensions and we will work through it with you.
