Privacy policy

1. Who we are

This policy is issued by Stoneworks Projects Pte Ltd (“Stoneworks”, “we”, “us”), of 62 Ubi Road 1, #01-38, Oxley Bizhub 2, Singapore 408734. It explains how we handle personal data collected through this website, our enquiry and appointment forms, and our dealings with you as a customer or prospective customer.

We comply with the Personal Data Protection Act 2012 of Singapore (the “PDPA”). Where this policy and the PDPA differ, the PDPA prevails.

2. What we collect

We collect only what we need to respond to you and to deliver work you ask us for:

• Contact details — name, email address, telephone or WhatsApp number, and where relevant your company name.
• Project information — the message, dimensions, drawings, photographs and preferences you choose to send us, and the product an enquiry relates to.
• Appointment details — your preferred date and time for a showroom visit.
• Account and order details — if you create an account or place an order, the delivery and billing address and order history associated with it.
• Technical data — IP address and basic browser information, recorded when your browser requests pages from us, and used for security and to keep the site working.

We do not ask for, and ask that you do not send us, sensitive personal data such as NRIC numbers, financial account details or medical information through the forms on this site.

3. How we use it

• To reply to your enquiry and prepare a quotation.
• To arrange, confirm and follow up on showroom appointments.
• To fulfil an order: templating, fabrication, delivery and installation.
• To provide after-sales support and handle warranty matters.
• To keep records we are required to keep by law, including for tax purposes.
• To detect and prevent spam, fraud and misuse of this website.

We send marketing messages only where you have consented or where the law otherwise allows it, and every such message includes a way to opt out.

4. Consent and withdrawal

By submitting a form on this site, you consent to our collection, use and disclosure of the personal data in it for the purposes set out above. You may withdraw consent at any time by writing to us at sales@stoneworks.com.sg.

Withdrawal takes effect within a reasonable period. We will tell you if withdrawing consent means we can no longer provide a service you have asked for, and we may still retain data where the law requires us to.

5. Who we share it with

We do not sell personal data. We disclose it only where necessary, and only to:

• Service providers acting on our instructions — website and email hosting, fabrication partners, and delivery and installation contractors engaged for your project.
• Payment and anti-spam providers— payment processing and Google reCAPTCHA, which is used to keep our forms from being abused and which processes technical data under Google’s own privacy terms.
• Authorities — where we are required to disclose by law, regulation or court order.

Some of these providers operate outside Singapore. Where personal data is transferred overseas, we take steps to ensure it receives a standard of protection comparable to the PDPA.

6. Retention

We keep personal data only as long as it serves the purpose it was collected for, or as long as we are legally required to keep it. Enquiries that do not become projects are cleared out once they are no longer of any use. Records tied to a completed order are kept for the statutory retention period.

7. Protection

We apply reasonable administrative and technical measures to protect personal data against unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration and loss. This site is served over HTTPS, and credentials that reach our suppliers’ systems are held server-side and are never exposed to your browser.

No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Cookies

This site uses cookies and similar browser storage to keep your cart and session working, to remember preferences such as your chosen currency, and to allow reCAPTCHA to function. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, but parts of the site — the cart and checkout in particular — may then stop working correctly.

9. Your rights

Under the PDPA you may ask us to:

• tell you what personal data we hold about you and how it has been used;
• correct personal data that is inaccurate or incomplete;
• delete personal data we no longer have a legal or business reason to keep.

Write to sales@stoneworks.com.sg and we will respond as soon as reasonably possible. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request, and a reasonable fee may apply to an access request as permitted by the PDPA.

10. Third-party links

This site links to material hosted elsewhere, including supplier catalogues and social media. Those sites are governed by their own privacy policies, and we are not responsible for their content or their handling of your data.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The current version is always the one published on this page, and the date at the top tells you when it last changed.
